My work is a direct expression of self and constant questioning. Pulling simultaneously from the narrative to the abstract, I work in mixed media?from found objects to oil paints, plaster gauze to human hair. Using a combination of vibrant colors, disjointed brushstrokes, strong lines and drawing, my works often fulfill a desire to ?leap? off of the canvas, literally and figuratively.

Often interpreted as discomforting, yet intriguing, much of my past work has dealt with womanhood, the many faces of the individual, and the complexities of social relationships. My current works speak to the plethora of questions, issues, choices, and obstacles I feel bombarded by day-to-day: a changing world, instability, loneliness, fear of non-acceptance, freedom----and lack thereof, constant longing for exploration, and constant consumption.
