Patricia Sonego, soprano, is making a name for herself on the contemporary classical music and new music scene in the United States, Canada and abroad. She recently premiered "Messages for Raoul Wallenberg" for soprano, violin, cello and piano at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall with Alaria Trio in a new arrangement dedicated to her by award-winning American composer Terry Winter Owens. Patricia has premiered many works including electroacoustic and computer pieces by award winning composers John Melby and George Brunner. A versatile singer with an incredible 3 1/2 octave range and dramaic skills Patricia is much sought after by composers of new music. She has performed works by Joelle Wallach, Gyorgy Kurtag, Michael Rothkopf, Don Hagar, Mark Zuckerman, Eric Schwartz, Harold Seletzky, James Barry, Thea Musgrave, Eric Lyon, and many more. She premiers new music annually at the American Composer's Alliance five day American Music Concert series at the Thalia Theater, Symphony Space. Patricia performs with many new music ensembles including Le Nuove Musiche and her own Reizen Ensemble, for which she is both the artistic and managing director.
