Becky Yazdan lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She received her MFA from the New York Studio School where she studied with Bill Jensen, Charles Cajori and Graham Nickson. Recent exhibitions include a solo show at Giampietro Gallery in New Haven, CT, a two-person show at the Forge Gallery in Milford, PA, and group shows at the Westport Arts Center in Westport, CT, the Bartlett Gallery in Ontario; Rhonda Schaller Gallery in Manhattan; The Cole Art Center in Nacogdoches, TX; and the National Weather Center in Norman, OK. Her work has been featured by Two Coats of Paint, Gorky’s Granddaughter, Studio Critical, Art in Brooklyn, and ApartmentTherapy.com. Yazdan’s paintings are a fusion of perceptual experience with memories of events, feelings and colors. She is inspired by the juxtaposition of the industry and grit of her Brooklyn home with the colors and sounds of nature. She is represented by Giampietro Gallery in New Haven, CT.
