Fanny Allié was born in 1981. She graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (The National School of Photography) in Arles, France in 2005 and moved to New York City.
She was a selected artist for the program, Artist in the Marketplace (AIM) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts during 2006-07.
Her art has been exhibited primarily in the United States, frequently in New York in various venues such as the Chashama Window Space (Garment District, Manhattan), Eye Level BQE in Brooklyn, Bronx Blue Bedroom, Bronx Museum, BRIC Rotunda Gallery, Freight and Volume, Envoy Gallery, NY Studio Gallery, Bring to Light NYC (Nuit Blanche), among others.

Her work has also been shown in Belgium, France (Cité Radieuse by Le Corbusier in Marseille, Les Nuits Blanches in Paris), Italy (Fondazione Mertz) Germany (Preview Berlin, the Emerging Art Fair), Spain (Optica Festival) and Mexico (Ex Teresa Arte Actual).

She was an artist in residence for Artelinea (Parignargues, Gard, France) in December 2011, ChaNorth in Pine Plains, New York in October 2011, at the 75 (Art School) in Brussels in April 2008 and at Munstrasse 10 in Berlin in September 2005.

She had a solo exhibition in the St Eustache Church in Paris, France, in December 2012.
Her work “Silhouettes” was exhibited in a storefront at 75 Market St in Newark as a part of Activate Market Street organized by Gallery Aferro and RBH Group in Newark, NJ from June to September, 2013. In addition, her public sculpture “Serendipity” is currently on view in Tompkins Square Park in NY until April 2014. For this project, she won an Emergency Grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.

Fanny lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
