Storytelling and dislocation are the main components of my work. I gather bits and pieces of stories and memories using playful everyday objects. I focus on the inherent struggle to contain the intangible - the elusive nature of memories. In my recent narrative series, thousands of stickers on reflective mylar are used to create a whimsical world full of unadulterated joy and wonder. The moment people hold a sticker in their hand they smile. Even if they think it is worthless and throw it out the very next second they still smile. I wanted to share that moment of childhood innocence and joy through the colorful narratives.
