The Grand Tour Orchestra, founded by flutist Charles Brink in 2006, is dedicated to music of the Enlightenment (ca.1750-1800). This young orchestra aims to contribute to the public's appreciation of this rich, yet surprisingly unexplored repertoire. Through arresting programming - including masterpieces never heard in America's concert halls - and the use of the instruments and performance practices befitting the era, the ensemble presents the full spectrum of late 18th century music; from Galuppi to Jommelli, from the sons of J. S. Bach to Haydn and from Myslivecek to Mozart.
