Loren Erdrich was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She received her MFA from the National University of Ireland at the Burren College of Art in 2007. Her work has been exhibited worldwide. Together with poet Sierra Nelson, she co-authored the lyrical choose-your-ownadventure book I Take Back the Sponge Cake (published by Rose Metal Press in 2012 and currently in its second printing). She has received support from the Santa Fe Art Institute, Art Farm Nebraska, Vermont Studio Center, Sculpture Space, Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, and NYU Washington Square Review. She has been a visiting lecturer at USF Tampa, Slippery Rock University, and the University of Iowa. She is presently completing a series of works on paper combining Moroccan raw organic pigments with traditional watercolors. She lives and works in New York City.
