Jon Williams is a Brooklyn-based video artist with a background in formal computer science. His live video work frequently explores optical and computer feedback techniques across environmental and synthesized media and samples from marathon film screening sessions and the forgotten alleys of computer graphics. While utilizing both live video and analog video synthesis, the majority of his work is generated via real-time editing/performance in a Quartz patching environment. In November 2008, he orchestrated the video for Excepter's 17-hour election day telethon at Monkeytown in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Recent performances have explored 3D graphics theory, architectural modelling, live microscopy and astronomy.
