Lauren Matsumoto is a painter exploring how we relate to nature. She is known for her use of a hybrid form of painting and collage. She has exhibited her work across the United States and internationally in Hong Kong, Vancouver, Tokyo, and the Middle East. Matsumoto has an international collector base across Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and North America. She received an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and BA in Painting from Yale University. Her honors include a 2019 Artist Residency at the MASS MoCA Studios and participation in the 2011 US Art in Embassies Program. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
