Christina Martinelli (b. 1986, New York City) received her BA from Bennington College and her MFA in sculpture from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She has exhibited at Practice Gallery, New York; NYU’s 80WSE Gallery, New York; The Java Project, Brooklyn, NY; ConnerSmith, Washington, D.C.; Open Space, Baltimore, MD; Pent House Gallery, Baltimore, MD; and others. She has presented her artists’ books widely at art book fairs including Printed Matter’s New York Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1 and has attended residencies at SÍM Residency, Reykjavik, Iceland; The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Nebraska City, NE; and The Wassaic Project, Wassaic, NY. She is a current Scholar in the Advanced Study of Book Arts at Center for Book Arts in New York City. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
