Josh MacPhee is an artist and activist whose work revolves around themes of history, radical politics, and public space. He is a print maker and organizer of large scale events in public space, including with the artist group Spectres of Liberty. In 2011 he co-founded the Interference Archive, an archive and social center exploring the relationship between cultural production and social movements. His most recent books are Signs of Change: Social Movement Cultures, co-edited with Dara Greenwald, and Celebrate People's History: The Poster Book of Resistance and Revolution. He is a member of the political art cooperative Justseeds.org and a co-editor of Signal: A Journal of International Political Graphics. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
