Rachel Barnard is an architect and artists whose work investigates physical space and the realm of the social. She has practiced as an architect for over eight years working in Australia, New Delhi, Budapest, and for the last four years, New York. Parallel to her professional practice Rachel has run independent art events and installations. She has worked for the Architectural League of New York and been the exhibition designer for Conflux Art and Technology Festival. Rachel is also a writer for a number of Australian art and design journals. During her professional studies she won both the graduating architectural thesis prize and the AE Brookes traveling scholarship. Rachel recently received her master?s degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University where she received the Percival and Naomi Goodman Fellowship for her current New York based project, Young New Yorkers.
