Davey Field is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Oberlin College in 2011 with a degree in comparative literature and film. His senior thesis at Oberlin was a video essay interpretation of the Doctor Faustus myth. Since finishing his undergraduate degree, Davey has been working on three video projects: a documentary about retirement communities in Florida; a romantic comedic short that was adapted from a play and is now in post-production; and a travel diary that follows a friend's visit to the former Soviet Union where she spent her childhood but never returned. In Brooklyn, Davey has worked as assistant programmer at UnionDocs, a microcinema and documentary arts center in South Williamsburg. He has also interned for Triple Canopy, a Brooklyn-based arts magazine, and worked as production assistant for MLB Productions.
