Adel Souto is a Cuban-born, Miami-native, who moved to the northeast in 2007. He is a multimedia artist, writer, and musician living in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
He began playing in punk, hardcore (Timescape Zero), and experimental (NDCIT, The Goslings) bands in the late 80s, and continues to make music today (under the moniker 156).
He has been creating many forms of artwork (mostly in the field of painting) since his grammar school years, but has only recently delved into photography, film, and even television.
Adel has written for fanzines, and magazines, since the early 90s, when his own zine (FHF, 1990 - 1998) became an underground favorite, later making it a website (2001 - 2013). In 2010, he published a collection of articles titled "Some Words", and is currently working on autobiographical material, not to mention translating the works of Spanish poets.
