Marian Christopher Zacharow established himself as a painter and notable illustrator. His work has been feature in various magazines, including Time, Business Week, The Atlantic, Newsweek, The New York Time. He has created book cover art for publishers like Franklin Library, Viking Penguin, William Morrow,
Harper Collins, Simon& Schuster, Random House, among others. He has received many awards for his work including the Silver Medal from The Society of Illustrators of New York in 1986. he has been a lecturer in painting at Cooper Union CE in New York since 1997, and illustration at Parsons School of Design 2000-2003. Since 2007 he has a position of Visiting Assistant Professor, Adjunct at Pratt Institute in New York. He has had 10 solo exhibition in New York since 1983 and participated in numerous group shows exhibitions in the U.S. Canada and Europe. His work is in Smithsonian Institute, National Portrait Gallery Collection, Washington, DC
