Chrystal has and continues to devote many years to being of service to the community. She has raised money for FFAWN through Oprah Winfrey’s Live Your Best Life Walk and Multiple Sclerosis, campaigned for AIDS walk and volunteered her time to the children of Mother Hale House and local hospital. Chrystal began her career in the entertainment industry interning at a Casting Agency and a Post Production Company in development, reading numerous scripts, and providing coverage due to her passion for screenwriting. Later, she enrolled in the Made in New York Production Assistant training program and shortly after became a Script Supervisor, working closely with the director and talent. Thus far, she has worked for numerous television networks like HSN, PBS, MTV2, the Food Network, the Cooking channel, and various commercials. Chrystal received her first writing credit contributing to a television pilot that aired on MTV. Recently, she completed a Field Producer course through a not for profit organization. Her passion for Halfway Home stems from fusing her love for being of service and her passion for building a career in the entertainment industry.Chrystal’s personal statement is edutainment.
