Michelle Cole is a graduate of New York University receiving her M.A. in Dance Education. She received her BA in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology/ Sociology from Florida International University’s honors college. She has taught at private studios in Miami and performed at various venues in NYC- Fredrick Loewe, Baruch College, and Dance Arts Festival. She has studied abroad in Kampala, Uganda where she taught and learned traditional Ugandan dance, drumming and singing and performed at the National Theater. She was recently an empowerment coach at the Orlando School of Cultural Dance where she experienced the benefits of dance on at-risk youth. This has reaffirmed her desire to start an outreach program along with her other goals of globalizing dance through cultural incorporation in curriculum. Michelle is beyond excited to share her choreography with the community and learn along the way.
