Leigh McCarthy is a multimedia raconteur. McCarthy's work suggests that what is not there can be as evocative as what is: stories untold; disasters unrecorded; pitfalls unseen. McCarthy's work displays a highly refined aesthetic, and one that embraces the process of decaying pigment.
McCarthy has exhibited at the Getty Center, Los Angeles; Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo, Sevilla; the Institute of Contemporary Art, London and numerous other solo and group exhibitions.
McCarthy holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and a Master in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College, London. McCarthy currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
