As a documentary filmmaker with eight years of international filmmaking experience I strive to capture stories of the unsung heroes among us. Storytelling has been an important part of my personal development as an artist, an advocate for human rights, and a woman.
In 2009, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Digital Media and a minor in Sociology. Since graduation I have put these skills into practice, which has led me to varied places – from the rural mud huts of Maasai tribes in East Africa to the United Nations Headquarters in New York. I am currently pursuing an M.F.A in Social Documentary Filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, NY.
