Nadia Westcott was born in 1989 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her work is inspired by African and Asian indigenous works that she grew up around, reflecting her Indonesian heritage. Rarely planning her work ahead of time, she sees her art as a way of meditation and lets the work of art happen as she creates them. She sees herself as a vessel and her work as the artifact of her in that present moment. Nadia Westcott has been featured in various galleries, pop-up shows, live-art, and public spaces, locally and internationally. Nadia Westcott studied studio art and art history at The University of Vermont. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
