Emma Clark is an actor, director, and deviser originally from California and currently residing in New York City. She is a current member of The Bats, the resident acting company of The Flea Theater (Off-Off Broadway), under the artistic direction of Niegel Smith, and a former member of the Acting Apprentice Company at The Barrow Group. As a performer, Emma finds fulfillment in working in ensemble-based and intensely collaborative processes across genres and mediums. As a theatre maker and director, Emma's particular research and development interests lie at the intersections between culture, politics, history, and the study of global conflict, with an emphasis on making in non-traditional spaces. She holds a BS in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University, where she received the Department Award for Interdisciplinary Excellence from the Department of Performing Arts.
