Paige Taggart is the founder of Mactaggart Jewelry. (http://www.mactaggartjewelry.com/) She was born and raised in Healdsburg, California and has lived in Brooklyn the past 10 years. She studied Jewelry Metalsmith at California College of the Arts in Oakland, Ca. She graduated with a BA in Visual Studies from CCA and went on to complete an MFA in Creative Writing at the New School. She has a love for using stones with a raw quality, and juxtaposing soft elements with more refined edges, as well as using vintage parts and pieces, reassembling, hammering, creating lots of texture and romance in each piece. Paige is also the author of two full-length poetry collections, Or Replica (Brooklyn Arts Press, Dec 2014) and Want for Lion (Trembling Willow Press, March 2014) and 5 chapbooks, most recently I am Writing To You From Another Country; Translations of Henri Michaux (Greying Ghost Press).
