My name is Jerry V Capri, I was born in Spanish Harlem, New York . As a kid I was always was attracted to all types of music such as bachata, merengue, hip hop, and even classical music. I remember when I first heard "Fur Elise" by Wolfgang Beethoven I was amazed how much life he gave his composition. When I was in highschool my family and I moved to New Jersey and immediately I joined the school's band, where I learned how to play the guitar. In band class I learned how to play many tunes and was motivated to learn as many tunes I can. When I graduated highschool I moved back to New York City and began taking private guitar lessons. My guitar teacher introduced to many Jazz artist, such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and my favorite Cannonball Adderley. I was shocked to see how these musicians told their unique stories through their improvisations. When I graduated Borough of Manhattan Community College, I enrolled into City College and started my bachelors in Music. My goal is to take all what I learned from music and share the joy of music with the world.
