Ilisa Katz Rissman is an award winning photographer who works concurrently on long-term fine art projects, choosing large format analogue cameras to produce detailed, evocative images. Ilisa's work has been shown at the University Of The Arts - Philadelphia, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Photographic Center Northwest, Soho Photo Gallery, Powerhouse Arena, and 12 12 Gallery, among others. She has had solo shows at the Princeton Project Space, Carol Shen Gallery at Packer Collegiate, Brooklyn, NY and at the Central Brooklyn Public Library. She is the recipient of a number of awards including Julia Margaret Cameron for People and Culture (2015), The Photo Review, judged by Jennifer Blessing, curator of photography at The Guggenheim Museum of Art (2014), three images for best fine art photography at The New York Photo Festival (2012) and PX3 Prix De La Photographie, Paris (2008). Her photography has been posted or reviewed in The New Yorker, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Slate, Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography and The Forward Thinking Museum; Ilisa is a BRIC Arts Media Fellow.
