Buket Savci was born in Istanbul, Turkey. Previously a landscape architect she started studying fine arts in Istanbul. With moving to New York in 2006 she received her BFA from Pratt Institute in 2010 and MFA from NY Academy of Art in 2012.
She is represented by Olcay Art, Istanbul since 2012, where she also had her first solo show Playground in November 2014. Her work has been exhibited widely internationally and nationally such as at Flowers Gallery, Allegra LaViola Gallery, Dacia Gallery, Sotheby’s in New York, Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, LA, Kamakura Art Center, Tokyo, Japan, Bolit Centre d’Art Contemporani, Girona, Spain and Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair in Istanbul, Turkey. Some of the publications her work has been featured are; The Figure: Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture published by Skira Rizzoli, Who Is Afraid of Feminism exhibition catalog juried by Catherine Morris, Poets and Artists Magazine, curated by Daniel Maidman and Studio Visit Magazine.
In addition to her studio practice she has taught printmaking as postgraduate teaching assistant at Long Island University and at the NY Academy of Art. She worked with Chinese artist Liu Bolin as his assistant on his New York projects. Currently she works at Jeff Koons studio as a painter.
