Thomas was born and raised in a rapidly changing Brooklyn. His art serves as both a literal and abstract portrayal of the influx of wealth amid the once blighted and desolate contours oh his hometown. It is both a testament to progress and growth, but also an homage to the vestiges of an edgy city, and the vibrance of the communities and families who struggle to hang on to their homes in what has since become targeted territory--real estate in high demand.
Thomas has a large and diverse portfolio that includes lithographs, oil on canvas, mixed media, and has since developed a knack (which he hopes will soon turn into a penchant) for welding.
He works at an underfunded nonprofit and reads Dostoyevsky in his spare time.
