My beginnings started in an advertising agency where I wanted to do something creative but was limited in the technical work of the art department. My lifelong love to write stories, to create new concepts was growing as well, yet there were not many opportunities available. As it happens in life, I got laid off and eventually the agency closed doors. I knew it was time to leave my island of Puerto Rico and this was the cue.
During the beginning of my 9 years in New York City, I established myself in the city by working retail for a fine jewelry brand so that I could continue my education at Parsons School of Design which is part of the seven colleges of the New School in lower Manhattan. Shortly after, I began doing fashion design as well. Combining my knowledge of photography production and direction, I also embarked into becoming a Director/Writer/Designer Don't hate me because I'm #Multitalented 😘
What sets me aside from other artists is my use and understanding of color and the ability to create a narrative through photography and film. Having an eye for detail not only serves me in post-production but also allows me to spot talent, both crew and cast, which is extremely important when gathering a team to compose powerful imagery. I'm all about color, powerful women on screen and flavor, always flavor!
