I was born at Brooklyn Hospital, developed my interest in art at Brooklyn Technical High School and still live in the same Williamsburg apartment my whole life. As a constant that has seen the changing currents that have swept my neighborhood and others like it, my art clings to the displaced peoples that were thriving in our misfit borough before the term gentrification became the death knell of Brooklyn culture, and will continue to thrive well after it has gone. The arts in Brooklyn used to be like the grass that grows between the cracks in the concrete at our feet, but is now being uncovered to show the myriad of life that is to be found underneath. My wish is to add to the brilliant fauna.
