Alice Tapia is a self-taught artist born and raised in Red Hook Brooklyn, New York. With a lifelong dedication to community and culural arts her bold and edgy work reflects an impressive combination of femisim, movement and culture. Creating culture and politically concious art for everyone, using on canvas as well as alcohol ink and nail laquer on a variety of surfaces.
As of late her art has gained the attention of many people one of which, was the set producer of the upcoming Spike Lee Netflix Series "She's gotta have it."
Alice's creative talents and ongoing Community work have no doubt influenced many emerging artists who are eager to connect with their ancestry and creative side through the Arts.
