Poyen Wang is a media artist whose work mainly incorporates immersive installations with computer-generated imagery in video art, currently based in New York City.

Wang’s work has been internationally exhibited at museums, galleries and film festivals, including National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, Museum of Contemporary Art (Zagreb, Croatia), Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Sapporo International Art Festival in Japan, FILE: Electronic Language International Festival (São Paulo, Brazil), Screengrab International Media Arts Award in Australia and Shenzhen Independent Animation Biennale in China.

Poyen Wang was born in Taichung, Taiwan in 1987. Having studied graphic design and media arts, he received his master’s degree in New Media Art from Taipei National University of the Fine Arts in 2015, and his second master’s degree at the School of Visual Arts with Paula Rhodes Award for Exceptional Achievement in Computer Art in 2017.
