Swarali is originally from India and moved to NYC in August 2014 to obtain her masters in Dance/Movement Therapy.
She started her dance training at the age of 6 in traditional Indian dance styles and soon traveled the country for dance productions. She extended her training to western dance forms and was the youngest dance instructor at Shiamak Davar's - biggest jazz dance school in India. She won many Nationally/Internationally televised Dance reality shows. She was the only female finalist on Asia's Biggest Dance Reality show –– Dance India Dance 4. Swarali continued her work as a mentor for DID Little Masters Season 3, creative consultant for multiple reality shows, assistant choreographer for Bollywood movies and performed with Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, and others!
After moving to the US, Swarali choreographed/performed for Hypokrit Theatre company’s ‘Romeo and Juliet' and the internationally touring Bollywood dance spectacular, 'Mystic India'. She worked on Mirabai Production’s upcoming Broadway musical, ‘Monsoon Wedding’ as an associate choreographer to Akram Khan. She co-created the creatively acclaimed off-broadway ballet, ‘Devdas’. Swarali also performed at prestigious dance festivals like Jacob's Pillow, New York Live Arts Festival, and a solo with the Oscar winning music director A.R.Rahman at IIFA awards (Bollywood Oscars). Swarali performed on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' alongside Riz Ahmed and The Swetshop Boys.
