Marco Scozzaro, born 1979, is an Italian artist based in New York City.
He earned his MA in Psychology with a concentration in Visual Perception from the University of Parma, Italy, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Photography from the School of Visual Arts, NY.
He has had solo shows at Baxter St, NY, Ed Varie, NY, Galleria Civica di Modena, Italy, and Galerie Villa des Tourelles, Paris. Select group shows include Aperture Foundation, NY, Spencer Brownstone, NY, Lishui Art Museum, China, Unseen Amsterdam, and Mala Stanica National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje.
His work is in the public collections at International Center of Photography Library, NY, Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale University, New Haven, CT, Jeu De Paume Library, Paris, and Galleria Civica di Modena, Italy.
He is the recipient of an Experimental Media and Film residency from the Institute of Electronic Arts at Alfred University, NY, a Workspace Residency from the Camera Club of New York, NY, a scholarship from Urbanglass, Brooklyn, NY, and a full tuition and PhotoGlobal residency from the School of Visual Arts, NY.
He has been awarded a Media Art Fellowship from Bric, Brooklyn, NY, an AIM fellowship from the Bronx Museum of the Arts, NY, and has been part of the IAP program at the New York Foundation for the Arts, Brooklyn, NY.
His work has been featured in Artnet, Der Greif, GUP, Osmos, and commissioned by The New York Times, Wallpaper, GQ, Vice, and Vogue Italia, among others.
He is a freelance photographer and adjunct faculty at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
