Sam Sheppard is a Brooklyn-based educator, performer, movement director, and dramaturg, and a founding Co-Artistic Director of The Pack Theater. Her creative practice centers around collaboration, social research, body-oriented performance, and community engagement. She has developed new projects with The Pack: False Stars (Dixon Place; Paradise Factory/Corkscrew Festival; New Ohio/#americanAF); Future Honey (59E59, Edinburgh Fringe); Irondale Ensemble Project (To Protect, Serve & Understand - a project with NYPD officers and community members at Irondale Center), November Theatre (BABY FAT, La MaMa), and with directors Jaki Bradley, Anne Cecilia Haney, Michael Scholar, Jr., and Nana Dakin. She currently directs arts and violence prevention programs for public schools and facilitates sex ed workshops around NYC.
The Pack is a 2018 Community Arts Grant recipient for the upcoming Sex Play (working title).
