My work explores liminal or in-between spaces as they relate to my own experience of interiority. I emphasize the tactility of paint, clay and film, in analogy to my bodily experience of the world, what Merleau-Ponty called "the imaginary texture of the real." Motifs of the forest, the vessel and the fish recur as I navigate the correspondences between perceptible reality and the invisible unknowns of the subconscious.

As an extension of my art practice, I'm interested in engaging the public with art through projects in curation, education and writing.
