Veasna Has is a nonprofit communications professional interested in connecting meaningful artistic content to diverse audiences near and far. Prior to joining the Brooklyn Arts Council, Veasna served as the Marketing Manager for Ballet Hispánico where she helped to share and promote the work of the nation's leading Latino dance organization. She also previously held communications and programming roles with ArtPlace America, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago. Originally from Long Beach, CA, Veasna holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago with a minor in Cinema and Media Studies. When she's not juggling print deadlines, you can find her listening to NPR or camped out in one of the city's art house cinemas.
