Lissette Martinez is an arts educator with a passion for using the arts as a tool for critical pedagogy and social justice. She believes in curriculum that is built to support student agency and self-empowerment. Since 2012, she has worked as a cultural worker and educator with arts institutions like, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, Gallery 400, and Arts 4 Learning. Lissette is also currently working as a teaching artist and administrator for the Children’s Museum of the Arts. She holds an M.A in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a B.A. in Art History from Florida International University.
