Presented as part of Half the Sky Festival: Brooklyn Women in Traditional Performance, this FREE concert features Sudanese-American Alsarah and her band the Nubatones, whose jazz sound makes use of Nubian traditional music as well as French-Moroccan Malika Zarra, an expert in both Berber songs and French Moroccan jazz idioms.
