In BAC’s new Wellness Studio Blog, we invite you to share the passion we have for healing arts, and show how you can use featured Brooklyn traditions from our global diasporas to nurture and heal your body, community, and soul.

Today’s featured artist: Brujas of Brooklyn!

Infusing a Kundalini practice of breath, song, and movement with immigrant culture and Brooklyn’s unique energy, Brujas of Brooklyn present wellness methods that promote personal power and progress.

Wellness practitioners, college professors, doulas, and twins, Doctors Griselda and Miguelina Rodriguez make up the Brujas of Brooklyn.

The Brujas connect spiritual practices of their Afro-Dominican heritage to Kundalini breathwork, chanting, and movement exercise.

They open a window for deeper and personalized engagement with Kundalini by contextualizing their pathway to practice with music and culture of their Brooklyn upbringing and Dominican heritage.

BAC Neighborhood Clinic Healing Installations continue Brooklyn's legacy of self-determination by allowing each featured artist to define "healing" in the terms of their own culture and practice.
