BAC Sonic Clinic

A Sound Wellness Neighborhood Clinic

About the Program

BAC Sonic Clinic: A Sound Wellness Neighborhood Clinic is a cross-cultural musical healing experience. Sonic Clinic explores the healing traditions of music and sounds from around the world. The sounds presented in this project are culturally specific, multiethnic, and transcultural; they can be instrumental or embedded within the nuance of performance (the body). Each element of Sonic Clinic constructs a different paradigm of healing through the use of sounds from different cultural traditions and is intended to be an exploration of healing techniques. Accompanying each Sonic Clinic are digital artworks by artist David Gumbs, whose creations move you through these healing soundscapes.

Community Voices

Welcome to the Sonic Clinic. We’re glad you’re here because we need your voice.

Community Voices open calls will appear in each program of BAC Wellness Studio. We hope you will join the conversation by answering them sometimes. With this Community Voices feature, we invite Brooklynites to participate in building the Studio, and in so doing, activate the principles of social equity and holistic community that animate the space.
