Dozens of artists are working with Creative Coalitions this fall to bringing color, life, and beauty to east Brooklyn neighborhoods. In a huge project led by Xmental, fifteen artists –including some as young as 17 years old – were selected from over 40 submissions to fill a 300-foot wall in Bushwick with stunning pieces representing different styles and themes. Stop by Halsey Street between Wyckoff and Irving Avenues this Saturday or Sunday from 11am – 5pm to watch them work, or join us October 25th to see the final product and celebrate! In East New York, artists Laolu Senbanjo and Abdul Badi are teaming up with Arts East NY to continue “Mural Mile” with artwork on Livonia Avenue between Warwick and Ashford Streets. And stay tuned for another mural in the works in Brownsville - a collaboration between Creative Coalitions, the Brownsville Community Justice Center, Quardean Lewis-Allen, and DOT Art
