Brooklyn Arts Fund

Each year, Brooklyn Arts Council regrants hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding to 501(c)(3) organizations and individual artists all across the borough. A Brooklyn Arts Fund grant is so much more than monetary support. It is an opportunity to connect with mentors, training, and future creative collaborators.

About this Grant

Funded by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), this money is for arts and cultural projects that contribute to creative experiences for audiences in Brooklyn. The best proposals share how the project will impact the cultural life of their audience and community.

In 2025, Brooklyn Arts Fund distributed $626,000 to 200 projects across Brooklyn.

Bedstuy Walls is a public art project that celebrates the culture, history, and everyday life of Brooklyn—especially Bed-Stuy. Through mural art, the project brings people together, sparks conversation, and creates shared spaces that reflect the community’s spirit. Beyond beautification, Bedstuy Walls supports local businesses, encourages neighborhood collaboration, and offers learning opportunities for youth. It’s a platform for visibility, dialogue, and connection—built with the community, for the community.
