A storytelling session of traditional tales featuring Arabic-speaking Bay Ridge women from Morocco, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon and Yemen. Stories, including versions of Cinderella and other fairy tales, will be told in Arabic and translated into English. Storytellers include Lebanese Zeinab Bader, Moroccan Hafida Torres Balalioui and Palestinian Maha Attieh. This program is suitable for adults and families.

Cinderella in the Arab World is part of Brooklyn Arts Council's Half the Sky Festival: Brooklyn Women in Traditional Performance, an unprecedented series of concerts, performances, workshops and symposia highlighting Brooklyn women performing artists, especially those working in traditional art forms.
