Iviva Olenick: Prospect Park Pollinators, Weeds, Seeds, Water(ways)

Join horticulturalist Zachary Tan Strein and local artist Iviva Olenick for a tour of a newly planted Prospect Park landscape. We'll talk about native pollinators, self-spreading plants and the definition of a swale garden, designed to slow water down and allow it to spread and sink into the soil. We will also visit a nearby pond and talk about the flora within. After our 30-45 minute plant conversation, Iviva will lead a 45-minute seated botanical embroidery lesson. Materials provided. Looking forward to seeing you there – initial meeting spot is the Park Circle entrance of Prospect Park (in the mouth of the park, not the circle iitself!).
