Lucia Warck-Meister: Roots in Color

Inspired by ofrendas de flores / flower offerings, participants will be invited to create their own floral tributes through felt collage. Guided by teaching artist Lucia Warck-Meister, participants will learn techniques for composing, layering, and gluing pieces of felt to create a vibrant snapshot of an ofrenda. The final artworks will be colorful, textured, and full of meaning. - All materials will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit the felt collages as part of a culminating show celebrating community storytelling at Stand4 Gallery in Brooklyn.
