Through seminars, workshops, networking events and resource sharing, Brooklyn Arts Council trains and supports artists, arts leaders and groups so they can make the best decisions about their career paths and organizational growth. We help get new projects funded and off the ground through fiscal sponsorship.

We use our extensive database and expertise of Brooklyn artists to connect them with art seekers in the public, corporate and residential realms. Our arts consultancy services leverage our staff’s curatorial and project management knowledge, and keen sense of how art and artists can active challenging spaces.

Professional Development

BAC presents a variety of professional development events for artists and arts organizations throughout the year.  Recent topics have included grant writing and grant research, social media for artists and copyright law.

BAC programs are made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council.
