BAC annually distributes funding to support hundreds of projects by Brooklyn-based artists, collectives, and small nonprofit organizations through the following funding initiatives.
Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is pleased to announce summer Info Sessions for our 2020 Community Arts Grants! Artists, collectives, and nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for up to $5,000 to support artistic or cultural projects taking place across Brooklyn in 2020. Community Arts Grants consist of the Brooklyn Arts Fund, Local Arts Support, and the Charlene Victor & Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund.
Attendance at an Info Session is required for new applicants and those who haven't received funding since 2017.

Brooklyn-based 501c3 organizations, collectives and individual artists are invited to apply for up to $5,000 to support high-quality arts projects in all disciplines, genres and styles. Funded by New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
Brooklyn-based nonprofit organizations and artist-nonprofit partnerships are invited to apply for up to $5,000 to support community-based, high-quality arts projects in all disciplines, genres and styles. Funded by New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.
The Charlene Victor and Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund is designed to support the next generation of women artists and arts administrators. Two (2) Brooklyn-based women artists or arts administrators will be awarded $2,500 each toward costs for professional development.
Brooklyn-based 501c3 organizations whose primary mission is to provide arts and cultural activities open to the general public. Awards of $1,500 will be granted for the creation, production and distribution of print promotional materials that represent the organization’s artistic and cultural activities, with an emphasis on borough tourism.
